Industrial skills training

The Gridin's Group’s industrial skills training programmes are based on international standards, guidelines and normative documents, applicable in the EU and other industrialized countries. The programmes are implemented according to the demand (Directive 89 / 391 / EEC - DSS). The following training courses are organized for production specialists:

WORKING AT HEIGHT AWARENESS

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The use of new technologies, involvement of personnel who are appropriately supervised, and an infrastructure that is properly maintained and supported in onshore and offshore activities all result in a reduction in the number of traumas and accidents, however, there is still a lot to improve in the area. The development of basic occupational safety training would improve the situation even more, since such training would ensure that all employees are provided the necessary information on occupational safety and ways to recognize the main risks, as well as the development of risk avoidance skills.

The aim of the training course is to provide potential industry employees with knowledge about the organization of basic safe work practices and to get them familiarized with the industry rules in accordance with the applicable standards.

Upon completing the training course, the participants will be able to work in observance of the rules and standards applicable throughout the world, ensuring that the person’s actions or inaction will not result in his/her co-workers experiencing injuries, and that no damage is done to the company’s property or to the environment.

DURATION: 1 day

TARGET AUDIENCE: All personnel taking part in industry tasks concerning working at height.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRAINEES

  • The minimum age of a trainees is 18.
  • The practical training/assessment will involve work of a physical nature. The training provider is required to ensure that, prior to participating in practical exercises/activities, the trainees have to complete a self-declaration of medical fitness form.

Certificate

Those successfully completing the training course shall be awarded with a certificate.

Validity of the certificate – 2 years as of the date of issuance.

WORKING AT HEIGHT AND RESCUE

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aim of the working at height and rescue training is to set the minimum standards necessary for ensuring high quality of working at height and the implementation of rescue training programmes.

The aim of the training is to provide the participants with the basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which would help them properly and safely perform work at height and rescue actions in critical situations.

The participants are trained with the basic skills of working at height, how to perform rescue actions, provide medical first aid, how to check personal safety measures before their use and properly maintain the personal safety measures, resolve unsafe working situations and act in case of suspension traumas. The participants are provided with knowledge on preventive measures.

DURATION: 2 days

CONFINED SPACE ENTRY AWARENESS

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

This training is intended for persons working in confined spaces, which are classified as spaces of increased risk with non-standard access, performing complex activities of increased risk and ensuring that the aspects of specific control and rescue are properly followed for the purpose of safeguarding against risks of asphyxiation, poisoning with toxic gases, explosion, fire, any mechanical threats or risks related to the system’s physical complexity and against any specific internal dangers.

During the training, the participants are trained to use gas detectors, respiratory protective equipment when working in confined spaces and fall protection equipment when working at height, i.e. a tripod, inertia reel  – a fall arrest device with a retractive mechanism, safety harness set, etc.

The participants are trained to follow of necessary procedures, conduct essential precautions: select, use, check and control the equipment intended for work in a confined space.
